The “from prices” displayed at the top of this website are intended as a general guide to help you estimate your potential costs.

For evaporative and ducted air conditioning systems, the “from price” is based on an average-sized 3×1 home commonly found in the Perth metro area.

For split system air conditioning, the “from price” reflects the cost of installing a single unit.
For an instant, obligation-free quote, contact us today.

For commercial jobs, we’ll need to do a site visit and provide a proper written quote.

In most cases, we can provide accurate pricing over the phone by using Google Earth to assess your property and better understand the scope of the work involved.

No problem, if you get in touch with our team we’ll happily walk you through some options that can suit your budget.

Generally, we find the following breakdown helps home-owners and landlords get the best idea of what they’d like to install in their property.

For optimal performance throughout your entire home, ducted air conditioning is an excellent choice. It offers precise temperature control, allowing you to heat or cool every room and maintain a consistent temperature with ease. Modern ducted systems also enable you to control airflow to specific rooms and adjust individual zones to match your preferences. This is hands down the best choice if you’re planning on staying in your current home. Also note that we have great payment plans from Zippay to help you pay the system off over time.

For apartments or houses where air conditioning is typically needed in just one room, split systems provide a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. However, if you foresee needing multiple split systems in different rooms or running several units simultaneously, a ducted system may be a more economical long-term option. Split systems are also a nice solution for smaller homes, for homeowners who aren’t sure how long they’re keeping the house for, or for landlords who want an affordable option to give their tennants some relief during the Summer.

Evaporative air conditioning is the most budget-friendly way to cool larger homes, offering lower installation, maintenance, and operating costs. Keep in mind, however, that evaporative systems do not provide heating capabilities and may be less effective on extremely hot days when temperatures exceed the high 30s. Evaporative is a nice option for those who are concerned about the power consumption of refrigerated systems.

We typically complete the installation of ducted and evaporative air conditioning systems within a single day for most single-storey homes.

For split systems, installing a single unit on a ground floor usually takes just a few hours.

During the installation process, we may need access to the inside of your home to install vents in the ceiling plasterboard and mount your control panel. However, most of our work takes place in the roof space.

Air conditioning installation is generally a tidy process. For ducted systems, creating vents in each room may produce some plasterboard dust and minor debris, such as insulation material from the ceiling. For split systems, we may need to drill through a wall to connect the tubes and cables to the external unit.

Rest assured, we always clean up thoroughly before we leave, ensuring your space is spotless and ready for you to enjoy the comfort of your new system.

We recommend servicing your air conditioning system at least once a year to keep it running efficiently and reliably. For evaporative systems, it’s best to have a check-up both before summer starts and again after the season ends to keep things in top shape.

Regular maintenance isn’t just about preventing breakdowns — it also improves air quality, helps your system run more efficiently (which means lower power bills), and can extend the overall life of your unit.

There are also some telltale signs that your system might need a service sooner rather than later:

    • The airflow feels weaker than usual
    • It’s not cooling or heating effectively
    • You notice unusual smells or sounds
    • Your energy bills have suddenly spiked

At Quality Air Solutions, we make maintenance easy. We’ll give your system a thorough check, clean filters and ducts, and make sure everything’s working as it should — so you can stay comfortable year-round.

Not necessarily — especially if you’ve got the right system and use it wisely. While any air conditioner will use electricity, modern systems are far more energy-efficient than they used to be. With inverter technology and smart temperature controls, you can enjoy year-round comfort without a huge spike in your energy costs.

If your home has solar panels, the good news is that you can offset a large portion — or even all — of your air conditioning costs during the sunniest parts of the day.

Running your air con during daylight hours allows your solar system to power the unit directly, reducing your reliance on the grid and saving you money in the long run.

Many of our systems allow you to control your air conditioning remotely, so on really hot days it’s possible to switch your aircon on during the middle of the day to start cooling the house down so that when you get home, you don’t need to blast the system to cool down a home that’s been cooking all day.

    • To get the best efficiency and lowest running costs:
    • Make sure your system is correctly sized for your home
    • Keep doors and windows closed while it’s running
    • Set your thermostat to a reasonable temperature (around 24–25°C in summer)
    • Book regular servicing to keep everything running smoothly

At Quality Air Solutions, we’ll help you choose the right air conditioning system and give you tips on how to get the most out of it — so you can stay cool and comfortable without blowing the budget.

If you’re looking for the cheapest air-conditioning price on the markets, then Quality Air Solutions probably isn’t the company that you’re looking for.
